I am John Roa, a web geek / entrepreneur currently making my home in Chicago. I live in the heart of downtown and spend my days as the Director of Interactive Strategy for a Chicago-based digital marketing agency called Colman Brohan Davis.

I have been involved in literally every aspect of e-business ranging from programming, web design, sales, business development, graphic design, e-commerce management / merchandising, search engine marketing / optimization, sponsorships, multi-channel / viral / affiliate marketing, usability / information architecture, virtual team management, blah, blah, etc.. etc.. I started by learning HTML in early middle school and haven’t looked back! Via CBD, I have been involved in more “traditional” marketing than I ever thought I would be, but am absolutely loving the synergy of branding, messaging, advertising, etc. with our digital capabilities.

Remarkably, I do in fact manage to get away from my computer from time to time. Some of my biggest passions are photography, traveling and backpacking.

I made this blog with the encouragement of some colleagues to hopefully provide some fun and insightful information into the aforementioned topics and learn something myself along the way. I am very open to feedback and conversation, so please do not hesitate to contact me!
